Keen golfer Ray Blaxill swapped sports when he visited Lord’s to watch the T20 mid-week cricket match between Middlesex and Surrey this summer.
Ray, from St Albans, visited the home of cricket after successfully bidding for two tickets at our golf day auction at Stocks Golf Club last year.
Ray, along with his brother Keith, not only enjoyed an all-action game, viewed from the Members’ stand, but was also treated to a guided tour of the hallowed Long Room.
“We were lucky and privileged to be shown around by our host, MCC member Mike Nolan,” Ray expained. “We could only marvel at the historic art and famous stairway. That’s another one ticked off the bucket list!”
