Osteomyelitis is an inflammation of the bone or bone marrow, usually caused by an infection. The most common bones affected are in the legs, back and arms.

Symptoms of Osteomyelitis stated by the NHS are:

  • a high temperature (fever) of 38C (100.4F) or above
  • bone pain, which can often be intense
  • swelling, redness and a warm sensation in the affected area

Two therapies are available at our Centre which can help people with Ostomyelitis:

APS Pain Reduction Therapy – many people find that Pain Reduction Therapy helps them to:

  • Reduce pain
  • Decrease swelling and inflammation
  • Improve quality of sleep
  • Increase energy

Oxygen Therapy – this treatment helps lots of people to:

  • Heal faster
  • Reduce pain
  • Combat infection
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Feel more energised

Our Centre in Letchworth has the only Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber in Hertfordshire. Something as simple as breathing pure Oxygen can be remarkably effective in helping our bodies improve our health.
