The swimmer from Knebworth, Andy Nation, is preparing for another gargantuan challenge following his successful 147 mile swim of the non-tidal River Thames in 2005. He now plans to start from where he finished the last swim at Teddington, West London, through the centre of London to Southend, then around the Kent coast to Dover and finally across the English Channel to Calais. Again, the distance is 147 miles.
