Event Success for Fighting Cancer Fatigue.

A special event took place in Letchworth this month to help people going through cancer treatment and the extreme exhaustion that often accompanies it.

This is our second ‘Fighting Cancer Fatigue’ event this year – and definitely the best! The Centre was bursting with people and nearly double the time was needed to make sure that everyone had a chance ask questions and try Oxygen Therapy.

We welcome anyone with any long term condition and we are currently the only place in the county that offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. This treatment helps some people recover faster after chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. It’s also great for increasing energy.

Everyone who visited on the day could try a complimentary taster session of Oxygen Therapy – 24 people took up this great offer.

They are now entitled to a full session for free for coming along on the day.

Julia Bradbury has weekly Oxygen Therapy sessions with us, following two bouts of cancer. She gave a powerful talk about her personal journey in cancer and how she feels that Oxygen Therapy has helped her to feel more energised and to recover faster after several major operations. She said: “My cancer hates oxygen, which is great!”

“We were delighted to welcome so many people,” explained Mark Boscher, the Chief Executive of Herts MS Therapy Centre. “The more people that know about us and about Oxygen Therapy, the more people we hope to help. If you, or someone you know, has cancer, maybe we can help them to gain more energy.”
